What's next for healthcare Tech in 2025?
Published 12 December, 2024
As the end of the year approaches, it can be satisfying to look back at all the things you’ve achieved over the past twelve months. But the festive lull is also a perfect time for looking forward to where the new year will take us.

So what direction do we think healthcare technology will take in 2025? Here are three things we predict will be shaking up the industry next year.
AI-Tailored Healthcare Plans
Artificial Intelligence is still a hot topic in almost every industry, but in 2025 experts predict it will be used to tailor wellness plans to individual patients, meaning that patients will receive personalised treatment that fits their circumstances and symptoms rather than accepting the potential downsides of a one-size-fits-all model.
Wearable healthcare devices
In the wake of the pandemic, the focus of the healthcare industry has shifted distinctly towards preventative treatment, and wearable healthcare devices have had a part to play in that arena. Although Fitbits have been around for many years, the market in 2025 will expand to include fitness rings, movement-tracking insoles, Bluetooth beacons for hikers and even smart clothing that is capable of tracking your heart rate and breathing patterns!
Tech-Supported Mental Healthcare
The use of Virtual and/or Augmented Reality has been an absolute game-changer in mental healthcare this year, and there’s no sign of this trend slowing down in 2025. From the fascinating use of digital avatars in helping to lessen the distress that patients with acute psychosis feel when hearing voices (https://lnkd.in/eKx5W2ce), to the delivery of virtual therapy sessions via VR headset, there are encouraging signs that this technology will be going from strength to strength next year.
